The Moreton Police and Council are working hard to ensure that our community is prepared and supported during this rain event.

If you do not need to travel STAY AT HOME.

Do not put yourself and others at risk by going to look at floodwater.

DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH FLOOD WATERS.

We are still seeing people driving through flood waters. We cannot stress enough how dangerous this is. It’s simple. Don’t do it – stop risking your life and the lives of others.

Bruce Highway Closure

Police along with Transport and Main Roads are working to close the southbound lanes of the Bruce Highway at Johnston Road and north bound at King Street, Caboolture due to water impacting both directions of travel.

The communities of Kilcoy and Woodford are isolated due to road closures on the D’Aguilar Highway.

Moreton Bay Regional Council have opened up a number of evacuation centres across the region. You will find their locations by clicking on the centre below.

Caboolture Memorial Hall

Woodford Community Hall

Watson Park Convention Centre – Dakabin

Dayboro Community Hall

Beachmere State School

Sand bag filling stations are open. You can find their locations here.

For road closures and information you can go to the Moreton Council disaster portal.
